Specification
The 7204 PCI Serial Interface is a robust 2-port asynchronous serial card built for industrial-grade RS-422/RS-485 communication. Each DB9 port can be independently configured for either electrical standard, enabling flexible deployment in multi-drop or point-to-point networks.
It features 16C850 UARTs with large 128-byte FIFOs for efficient data buffering, supporting baud rates up to 460.8K bps. The board automatically manages RS-485 transmitter control, removing the need for software overhead. Optional UART configurations offer support for custom baud rates and 9-bit protocol communication.
This product is classified as legacy and available only while inventory lasts. Contact Sealevel for current availability, pricing, and recommended next-gen alternatives.
